Outfit | The ‘ Slicker-Than-Your-Average’ Denim Jacket

Hi loves, how is your week going?  Mine is going pretty fast,  I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already.

Happy Valentine’s Day in arrears, how did you celebrate your Valentine’s day? Mine was pretty much like a normal day, maybe it’s because I’m not really a big fan of Valentine’s day. If you’re wondering, here’s why; they say Valentine’s day is a day to share love, if that’s the case then everyday should be a Valentine’s day because I believe love is to be expressed on a daily basis.  Aside from the fact that love should be shared every day,  I hate that red and white thingy, eew!

Talking about LOVE, I love me this denim bundle of joy I recently thrifted.

I’ve always wanted similar coats or jackets in black, grey and beige because they look so cute and would be very useful. I guess it’s a fashion bloggers thing though, bloggers can you relate…

You can’t imagine the joy I felt when I came across this denim jacket.  It’s quite longer than normal denim jackets I see around and looks pretty similar to the jackets/coats I was talking about. I didn’t think twice before purchasing this one, and I have no regrets whatsoever buying this jacket.

What I’m Wearing

Denim jacket – Thrift

Dress – Random Buy

Bag – Preowned

Shoes – Preowned

A very simple way to style up loose-fitted jackets like this is pair it up with a bodycon dress to create a balance.

Although I paired with a pair of nude heels to bring out a very simple but chic look, deep within my heart I know that if I had a pair of white kicks I probably would have preferred to pair it with that for comfort.

There are several ways to style up this denim jacket and this is one,  I’d likely be showing you other ways this type of jackets can be styled later on the blog.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Do you have something similar to this jacket? If you had a denim jacket like this how would you rather style yours? Do leave me a reply in the comment section.

Hey I really appreciate your time, but don’t just scroll off without leaving a comment, it’s like a cherry on the sundae you know! I would really love to hear from you.

With love, Lydia.

  1. Love love loveit! D dress z really beautiful nd d denim just made a statement with it, d shoes made it a perfect combo but d white kicks won’t be bad too. I’ve a similar jacket but it’s oversized, took it from d boyfriend, u know *winks* I pair mine with leggings nd sometyms ovasized dresses too, just depends on what I’m trying to portray @ d tym. White nd red disgusts me on Val’s day nd I had a normal work day except d boo nd I had a fight lol, just see d irony, nd no it wasn’t cos of Valentine.

    Slayonce, that’s what you are!
I think I know the coats you talking about and I love them too, but I rarely see them in Nigeria markets tho.
Yes I agree to showing love every day, and not just one day.

  5. It’s not only the jacket I see… I see curves!
    Go girl!

Since you ain’t posting men fashion (I really need Fashion advice, and I want a lady to give me the advice, most probably you!), I have decided to make it a duty to come here and look at your beautiful pictures showing you in all shades of beautiful…

Until you include some men fashion (once in a while) what I’ll keep commenting about is your BANGING BODY.
